Mentoring
As parents we can see the need for home-schooling our children, but sometimes we can feel inadequate and overwhelmed. Perhaps you think that because you are not a teacher you are not skilled enough. However, there is a range of support available to you, so the experience of home-schooling can be fulfilling for you and your family . There are a range of resources available, written by teachers, for parents to home-school their children. Social media groups are available for support and the sharing of ideas and resources. Home-schooling is a very diverse movement. Perhaps you don’t feel confident or just need support to choose routines, resources and the social home-schooling group that best suits you and your family’s needs.
Mentoring explained
As an experienced teacher and counsellor, I can provide the mentoring you need to get you started, and help you move into a rhythm that you and your family can manage and will best suit you all in the long term. As you become more confident, you will find that the learning your children need for today’s world will become an wholistic lifestyle. It is a privilege and a wonderful life responsibility to be a parent. However, the consideration of home-schooling may not be something you thought you would be faced with when you became married and had children and may be quite daunting. Let me help you.
